Documentation is still being transferred from our old site. In the meantime, clicking "Help" in the Content Management System will give you a brief overview of what each screen means.

Quick Installation Guide

Please follow these steps:

  1. Download the OtterCMS by clicking the 'download' link at the top of the screen.
  2. Decompress the folder (using tools such as Winzip or GNU tar), and navigate to the 'includes' directory. Open up SystemComponent.php, and tap in your server's database details - install will not work properly without this step.
  3. Ensure the OtterCMS directories and files are uploaded to your web server, and grant "write" permission to the directories uploadDir and pages. This is normally done using the 'CHMOD' commnd, or with your FTP client.
  4. Open up your browser, and visit install.php in the root directory of the installed folder. This will guide you through set up.
